Getting a working science space off the ground means answering questions most people never have to ask. What equipment actually does the thing you want. What it costs when you account for everything around it. What the room needs before anything can be installed. Who can install it. What it takes to keep running once the first group of people starts using it.

We answer those questions for a living, then stay on to make sure the answers hold up.

Organizations teaching young people to work with their hands and think like scientists. We design for durability, for supervision ratios, for the reality that the equipment gets used hard by people learning to use it.

The Process

Four steps, in order, every time.

  1. 01

    Consultation

    We start with what you want people to be able to do, then work backward. Goals, space, budget, who's operating it, what skill level they're starting from, what supervision looks like. Most of this conversation is us asking questions and listening to the answers.

  2. 02

    Design and Specification

    You get a written plan. Equipment specified by make and model with the reasoning behind each choice, layout and workflow through the space, power and ventilation and storage requirements, safety considerations, and realistic cost ranges. The plan is yours whether or not you go further with us.

  3. 03

    Sourcing and Coordination

    We put the plan into motion through our vendor and contractor relationships. That means finding the right supplier, negotiating terms, scheduling the install, coordinating anyone who has to touch the room before the equipment arrives, and keeping the timeline honest.

  4. 04

    Ongoing Support

    Spaces drift. People leave, programs grow, things wear out. We stay on to handle training for new operators, maintenance scheduling, replenishment planning, and expansion when the program outgrows what we first built.

Straight Answers

What this costs, and how we get paid.

We charge a consultation and design fee based on the scope of the project. That fee covers the discovery conversations and the written specification, and you keep the specification regardless of what you decide to do next.

When you move to build, we coordinate sourcing and installation through our vendor and contractor network. Ongoing support is handled through a support agreement sized to your program, which covers operator training, maintenance scheduling, and keeping your consumables and replacement needs planned ahead rather than discovered at the worst moment.

We'll give you the fee structure in the first conversation. There are no percentages we don't tell you about.
